Sustainability Policy – 2026
At Intosport Ltd, we recognise that our business has an impact on the
environment, communities and economy. This Sustainability Policy sets out how
we commit to operating responsibly, reducing our environmental footprint,
promoting social wellbeing and ensuring we act ethically across our operations
and supply chain.
Our Commitment
We commit to:
Integrating sustainability into all business decisions.
Complying with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Preventing pollution, minimising waste and conserving resources.
Ensuring fair and safe working conditions, within our own factories and that of
our suppliers, and supporting our communities.
Scope
This policy applies to all facilities, employees, contractors, and operations under Intosport Ltd.
Target
To become as sustainable as possible both environmentally and economically.
Action Plan &
Achievements to date:
- Energy Management
- Complete retro fit of all lighting fixtures to energy efficient LED’s
- All lights where possible are safe are fitted with sensors
- Installation of Solar system and battery to power Castlecomer Factory with 100% Solar energy
- Encourage behavioral changes to minimize energy waste.
- Provide employees with training on energy practices.
- Track energy consumption, costs, and emissions annually.
- Use couriers and delivery companies with sustainability policies which align with the companies.
- Energy Efficiency & Renewable
Energy
- Upgraded to energy-efficient equipment and appliances.
Promote low-carbon transportation (EVs, carpooling,
public transit).
- Purchase only FSC certified cardboard for packing boxes
- All packaging to be recyclable / reusable
- Any packing from deliveries of suppliers to be separated and recycled
- Waste
- Make to order – less wastage
- Separate bins for General Waste, Standard Recycling, Food and Organic Waste, Waste inks and cartridges, batteries and any WEE recycled material
- Use of only quality materials –
Sets of jerseys known to easily be still in use after 15 years of sale - Investigate recycling of
polyester fabric from both manufacturing waste and “trade in old set”.
- Water
- Very little use of water in manufacturing with only use in Factory, being for cateen and toilet facilities
- Look at options to use water more efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Employees: Comply with guidelines and contribute to reducing energy waste.
Review
This policy will be reviewed every 3 years to ensure relevance and alignment with technological,
environmental, and regulatory changes.
